She left the cleaning to the minibots and jetted around DC, planning a regal evening for DC’s newly crowned. On the day of the party, her eyes matched the sparkle of her Rachel Reinhardt pearl and crystal necklace, and with a swish of her Sita Murt ball skirt, she ushered guests to the dance floor. There she nimbly led them on a chase, but not for her Paul Mayer sequined slippers: they fit too well and were too comfortable. She’ll choose her Prince another day.

      After a customer commented that some gold finish necklaces she owns appeared to tarnish over time, we called Rachel Reinhardt for care and feeding tips for  her gold-plated brass jewelry.  Rachel explained our customer’s experience as the result of a reaction between chemicals on the skin and the gold plating, adding that “Gold-plated pieces may or may not get darker over time.”  Jewelry cleaning solutions will not bring back a brighter finish.  Instead,  Rachel suggested avoiding heavy perfume and water: “Don’t shower with your necklace or earrings on!”  Sounds manageable!
